Each month the Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay puts on a huge social ride event they call their Gala Ride. This month it was held at Rockville Park in Fairfield, California. Although the park is a relatively small area, it’s laid out in a way that offers a lot of variety. It also has a lot of natural rock features that not only make it a great destination during our wet season, but offer technical challenges many other local trails lack. As a bonus, the park happens to feature a lot of really great scenery; last time we were was there I got some pretty epic shots.
The weather was great, and as usual, after the ride the club provided snacks and brews. It’s a great way to get out and meet new people, and ride with some new folks. Check it out at BTCEB.org

Thanks Jason, nice work. Next Gala is at Mt Tam. All fire roads, but dry with great views and nice ambiance. See you there?
